2019 Friends of the Poor Holiday Programming

We'd like to thank you, our friends, for making 2019 another successful year at Friends of the Poor.  Because of YOU, we served thousands of our friends and neighbors during the cold, winter months to make the holiday season bright and merry for all.

Wednesday, November 27, 2019 - Our 33rd Annual Family to Family Thanksgiving Food Basket Giveaway served 2,406 families, totaling almost 10,000 individuals at the Scranton Cultural Center.

Tuesday, December 17, 2019 - Our Gift for Kids program, at the University of Scranton Byron Center, in collaboration with Catholic Social Services served over 750 families, totaling more than 1,800 children.  For the first time, this included high-school aged children.

Thursday, December 19, 2019 - Our Family to Family Christmas Food Basket Giveaway at St. Mary's Center served in excess of 1,250 families.
